Margin Brokerage Dashboard Guide

The Margin Brokerage dashboard gives you a page-by-page view of the trading activity in our margin brokerage account. Based on the dashboard layout, you can see recent orders, view any currently open positions, and review the complete trade history. This guide explains the main items users can view on the page and defines the most important terms used there.

What You Can See on the Margin Brokerage Dashboard

The Margin Brokerage dashboard is organized into clearly labeled sections that show what has recently been traded, what positions are currently open, and a history of completed trades. Together, these sections help users follow the account's activity over time.

  • Latest Orders
  • Current Open Positions
  • Closed Positions History

Page Item Descriptions

Latest Orders

The Latest Orders section shows the most recent trades recorded for the margin brokerage account. When orders exist, the table displays the Stock Symbol, Position, Action, % of Account, Order Time, and Stop Loss for each trade. This gives users a quick view of what was traded, how the order was entered, how much of the account was allocated to it, and the initial stop price for the trade.

  • Stock Symbol: The ticker symbol for the order.
  • Position: The status (i.e. new or existing) of the position in the table.
  • Action: The order type, such as buy, sell, sell short, or buy to cover.
  • % of Account: The portion of the account allocated to the trade.
  • Order Time: The date and time (i.e. 05/19/2026 3:46 PM) the order was placed. Time is EST.
  • Stop Loss: The initial stop price associated with the trade.

The default "placed on" date is the current day. You can select a different date by clicking the calendar drop down menu. If the date shown is not the default, the view is highlighted in red to help the user know they are looking at older trades. A "Filter Symbol" window allows you to enter a stock symbol and view previous trades for that symbol. To clear the Filter Symbol search results, change the "placed on" calendar date to any other date.

Users can opt in to an email alert service to receive JST trade updates promptly. If enabled, the service sends the latest order updates for all subscribed dashboards to the email address associated with the user's account.

Current Open Positions

The Current Open Positions section shows the holdings that are currently active in the margin brokerage account. When there are open positions, the table displays the Stock Symbol, Entry Price, Current Price, % Gain/Loss, and Stop Loss for each holding. This gives users a quick view of what is currently held, the percentage gain or loss of each position relative to its entry price, and the stop price associated with each position.

  • Stock Symbol: The ticker symbol for each holding in the margin brokerage account.
  • Entry Price: The price when the position was opened.
  • Current Price: The most recent available price (not real time) for the holding. For the latest quote, click on the symbol.
  • % Gain/Loss: The change in percent between the entry price and the current price.
  • Stop Loss: The stop price currently associated with the open position.

Closed Positions History

The Closed Positions section shows the history of completed trades. The table displays the Stock Symbol, Entry Date, Entry Price, Exit Date, Exit Price, and % Gain/Loss for each trade. This gives users a clear record of past trades and the results of each trade.

  • Stock Symbol: The ticker symbol of the completed trade.
  • Entry Date: The date the position was opened.
  • Entry Price: The price when the position was opened.
  • Exit Date: The date the position was closed.
  • Exit Price: The price when the position was closed.
  • % Gain/Loss: The percentage profit or loss of the completed trade.

Access and Expectations

The margin brokerage dashboard is available to users who create a JST account, sign in, and purchase a subscription. It is intended to provide visibility into actual JST margin brokerage account activity, holdings, and historical trades. It is not designed as personalized financial advice, a discussion forum, or a general market education resource.

Show Stats

The Show Stats section gives users a summary view of selected account statistics and comparison figures. The exact values can change over time, but the items in this area are intended to help users understand some basic account metrics.

  • Cash %: The portion of the account currently held in cash.
  • Account Gain/Loss: A summary figure showing how the account has performed over the selected measurement period.
  • Benchmark Gain/Loss: A comparison figure showing how a benchmark performed over the same period.
  • Since-Inception Note: A note indicating the starting date used for the long-term performance calculation.
